Safeguarding at Garstang Community Academy
At Garstang Community Academy, the safety, happiness, and well-being of our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our school ethos to Grow, Care, and Achieve – Together, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where every young person feels cared for and secure.
We have a dedicated staff team available to assist pupils and parents/carers with any concerns or issues that may arise.

Student Reporting: Safe@GCA
Pupils can easily share concerns and access support in school through our Safe@GCA reporting button. Submissions are directed to our wonderful Inclusion Team, who ensure every child receives prompt, friendly, and tailored guidance whenever help is needed.
Operation Encompass Partnership
Garstang Community Academy proudly participates in Operation Encompass, an initiative operated in conjunction with Lancashire Police (Lancashire Constabulary) and Lancashire Safeguarding Boards.
Operation Encompass is designed to support children affected by domestic abuse by facilitating early, confidential communication between the police and trained safeguarding staff at school. This ensures we can provide immediate care, reassurance, and wrap-around support to our students.
